Refund & Returns Policy

In Compliance with Australian Consumer Law

At Gaia Republic, we value your satisfaction and are committed to providing high-quality, responsibly made medical and workwear apparel. To ensure a smooth and transparent experience, the following policy outlines our process for returns and exchanges in line with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


1. Free Exchange & International Policy

We offer one free exchange per order if you have received:

  • The wrong item, or

  • A faulty item

This applies to all Australian customers.
For international customers, a subsidised fee of $25 AUD applies to cover shipping and handling.

Please note:
🛍️ Sale items cannot be returned or exchanged — all sale purchases are final.


2. Eligibility for Returns and Exchanges

Customers are eligible for a return or exchange if:

  • The request is made within 14 days of the original purchase date.

  • The item is unworn, unwashed, and undamaged, with original tags and packaging intact.

  • Proof of purchase (e.g. order confirmation or receipt) is provided.


3. Reasons for Return or Exchange

a. Faulty or Defective Items

If your product is faulty or defective, we will provide a store credit or replacement after review.
Gaia Republic reserves the right to inspect the item before issuing a resolution.

b. Incorrect Sizing

If the size isn’t right, we’re happy to offer an exchange for the same style in another size (subject to availability).
If your preferred size is unavailable, a store credit will be issued.
Shipping costs to and from for sizing exchanges are at the customer’s expense.

c. Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds for change of mind purchases.
However, you may exchange your item or receive a store credit for future purchases (subject to availability).
Shipping fees for returns and re-delivery apply.


4. Store Credit & Exchange Process

  • Store credits are issued in the form of a digital code, valid for 12 months from the issue date.

  • Exchanges will be shipped once the returned item has been received and inspected.

  • No refunds will be provided except where required by Australian Consumer Law.


5. Exceptions

We cannot accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Items showing signs of wear, washing, or damage

  • Customized or embroidered garments

  • Final sale or clearance items

  • Items determined to have no manufacturing fault after inspection

Original and return postage fees are non-refundable.

7. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Under the Australian Consumer Law, customers are entitled to a replacement or store credit for products with a major fault or defect.
